Plasma must be handled carefully when frozen, as the plastic containers become brittle in this state and may crack if knocked or dropped. It is advisable therefore to keep it bubble-wrapped as supplied until required. The licensed shelf life of the frozen product is two years from the date of harvesting when stored at -25C.
